Bella Hadid just put Hailey Bieber‘s “glazed skin” back on the beauty map.
The 29-year-old model, nicknamed “The Queen of Cannes,” made her first official appearance at the 79th annual film festival in France on Sunday, pairing custom, powder blue Prada with a dewy complexion and icy eyes next to her brother, Anwar Hadid.

Maybe it was the Mediterranean sun or the sheer layer of highlight painted over her cheek bones — but it looked like Hadid’s skin had been dipped in Krispy Kreme batter just before the carpet. The real secret sauce? Prada Beauty.
Seeing as Hadid is a global ambassador for the brand, it was only fitting her makeup artist, Nadia Tayeh, pull an arsenal of Prada Beauty products to create the look. “Bella wanted her glam to sparkle, complementing her dress,” Tayeh said in an official statement. “We created a silver shimmery eye with black liner to enhance the eyes, paired with glowing skin and a neutral glossy lip for a luminous, finish.”

To smooth the skin, Tayeh started by spreading the Prada Reveal Skin Optimizing Foundation in shades MN40 and MC60 before going in with the Blurring Micro-Correcting Concealer in MN6 and MW5. And because the finishing visage was meant to glisten and not look greasy, Tayeh used the Reset Rebalancing Setting Powder to set the product. Meanwhile, the Light Glowing Powder in Champagne and the Touch Blush and Dahlia brought a silk veil and soft pigment back to her skin.
For eyes, Tayeh coated Hadid’s lids with Prada Beauty’s Dimensions Eyeshadow in Profusion and drew sharp, smudge-free liner around the perimeter of her lashes using Pradalines Durable Gliding Eye Pencil in Nero. The technique acted as a dual agent to narrow her eye shape and subtly lift her face.

The lip, though prominent on the carpet, was pared back to let her glittering base and dazzling shadow do most of the talking. To do so, Tayeh layered the Reflection Glossy Liquid Balm in color B201 over the Monochrome Soft Matte Lipstick in color P168, resulting in a sticky rose taupe flush.

Partnered with the pastel Prada gown, the aesthetic evoked the serene aesthetic of the new Ôrəbella parfum, Jasmine Blues. Indeed, her iridescent skin also conjured memories of the “glazed” beauty phenomenon, first popularized by Bieber in the lead-up to Rhode in 2022. This was when “strawberry glazed” nails and dewy skin enraptured TikTok, subsequently spawning the highly contested “clean girl” aesthetic, in which performative perfection was applauded.
Since then, the pendulum has swung back, with runways powering a “tired girl” look in its place.
