Minister Anand meets with Denmark’s Minister for Foreign Affairs

The Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met yesterday with Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Denmark’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, during her visit to Copenhagen, Denmark.

This year, Canada and Denmark are proudly celebrating 80 years of diplomatic relations and, in light of the two countries’ long-standing partnership, Minister Anand highlighted Canada’s commitment to a continued strong bilateral relationship.

During the meeting, Minister Anand and Minister Rasmussen discussed increasing engagement on shared interests, including economic opportunities in quantum and clean energy, defence cooperation and support for Ukraine. 

The ministers expressed interest in increased cooperation between Canada and Denmark, as well as with the Nordic Five and Europe, to respond to evolving geopolitical challenges.
