Leicestershire have signed fast bowler Tom Helm on a two-week loan deal from Middlesex.
The 31-year-old former England Lions seamer has taken 177 wickets in 65 first-class games at an average of 32.08 and is available for this week’s trip to Sussex, which starts on Friday.
The Foxes are yet to win after earning promotion to Division One for this season, having drawn two and lost two of their first four matches.
“The club has been playing some really good cricket and there’s a strong group here, so I’m looking forward to contributing however I can and helping the team,” Helm told the Foxes’ club website., external
Head coach Alfonso Thomas said Helm, was a “high-quality bowler” who gives the squad “another strong option within our attack”.
Helm, who has a career-best haul of 6-110, taken against Surrey in 2023, has played once for Middlesex this summer – taking 2-77 in the draw against Northamptonshire.
