The cult pizza restaurant Concettina ai Tre Santi, which the entrepreneur invested in in 2023 through his Archive Srl vehicle, is landing in the Italian capital for the first time with a temporary takeover at The St. Regis hotel.

From Wednesday to May 20, the storied hotel’s Lumen Garden space will host the Neapolitan pizzeria to pay tribute to both Naples’ and Rome’s culinary traditions. For the occasion, the Concettina ai Tre Santi team will unveil a new pizza celebrating Rome’s classic amatriciana sauce, featuring tomato sauce, the “guanciale” cured pork and “pecorino romano” cheese. This dish will be an addition to its staple pizzas like “La Margherita” and “La Costiera,” alongside specialty dishes crafted by Francesco Donatelli, the executive chief of the hotel’s Lumen restaurant.

Founded by the Oliva family in 1951, Concettina ai Tre Santi built a name for itself with its gourmet pizza based on traditional ingredients — ranging from San Marzano tomatoes to buffalo mozzarella — as well as its deep-fried versions and wine selection. The informal mood of the format, enhanced by the friendly staff and the vibrant colors of the majolica tableware, have made it a go-to food destination for locals and tourists alike through the years.

The St. Regis in Rome will be temporarily revamped to echo Concettina at Tre Santi’s signature warmth and aesthetics via vibrant primary colors, checkered tablecloths and traditional ceramics. Open every day for lunch and dinner, the culinary pop-up will also hold special soirées with live music and DJ sets showcasing Neapolitan traditional and modern music that will alternate with the hotel’s refined entertainment style.

The takeover – which expands the pizzeria’s historic presence in Naples’ Rione Sanità district and its second location opened in Capri in 2024 – will also come with a charity bent. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Casa dei Cristallini community organization, an initiative by Altra Napoli Onlus dedicated to empowering youth within the Rione Sanità neighborhood through culinary programming and workshops and emphasizing the importance of food not just from a nutritional perspective but also from a cultural, emotional and social one.

Helmed by Pietro Ruffini — son of Moncler Group’s executive chairman— Archive Srl is an investment company controlled by Ou(r) Group, one of the two holding companies of the Ruffini family. The other family holding company is Ruffini Partecipazioni Holding, which controls a 15.8 percent stake in Moncler, through Double R.

When Archive Srl acquired a 47.5 percent stake in Concettina ai Tre Santi, it was the firm’s second investment in the food industry. The deal followed the acquisition of a 40 percent stake in Langosteria Holding Srl in 2018, which operates the tony seafood restaurants first opened in Milan in 2007 by Enrico Buonocore.

As reported, earlier this year the Ruffini family also acquired a 40 percent stake in Michelin-starred Da Vittorio Group-Vicook through Ou(r) Group, with the goal to enhance its international presence. The Cerea family, founder of Da Vittorio-Vicook, still holds the remaining 60 percent.
