If there’s one thing I can tell you for certain, without having even seen The Devil Wears Prada 2, it’s that a million girls would kill for the wardrobe. Nearly 20 years after the original, Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt are stepping back into their iconic roles, and if the first looks are anything to go by, the fashion—if not groundbreaking—is certainly breathtaking.

To say the sequel has a lot to live up to would be a gross understatement. The original gave us one of fashion cinema’s most iconic style transformations—second only, perhaps, to The Princess Diaries. As costume designer Molly Rogers put it: “In the first film, she’s a true fish out of water, and watching her evolution—especially stepping into pieces like the Chanel thigh-high boots—was everything.”
