Announcement of new diplomatic appointments


July 24, 2024 – Ottawa, Ontario – Global Affairs Canada

The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced the following diplomatic appointments:

Mark Berman becomes High Commissioner in Jamaica. Mr. Berman replaces Emina Tudakovic.

Nicholas Brousseau becomes Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Belgium. Mr. Brousseau replaces Alain Gendron.

James Christoff becomes High Commissioner in the Republic of South Africa. Mr. Christoff replaces Christopher Cooter.

Olivier Jacques becomes Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Guatemala. Mr. Jacques replaces Rajani Alexander.

Jodi Robinson becomes High Commissioner in Malaysia. Ms. Robinson replaces Wayne Robson.
