Minister Joly to travel to Italy to attend G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting

The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced that she will travel to Anagni and Fiuggi, Italy, from November 25 to 26, 2024, to attend the G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.

Minister Joly will join her G7 counterparts to discuss critical global issues, including the ongoing Middle East conflict, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, and the situation in Lebanon. Discussions will also cover the stability of the Indo-Pacific, cooperation with Africa and urgent situations in Sudan, Haiti and Venezuela.

Minister Joly will meet with Antonio Tajani, Italy’s Vice-President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and other G7 counterparts and guests to discuss shared priorities such as promoting the rules-based international order, advancing gender equality and protecting human rights worldwide.
