Media Registration: CPTPP Events Open to Media


November 25, 2024 – The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade, and Economic Development, will chair the 2024 Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) Commission Meeting in Vancouver on November 27-28, 2024. Media are invited to participate in select events organized in conjunction with the meeting.

MOU Signing with Chile

Date: Tuesday, November 26, 2024
Start Time: 5 p.m. PT
Place: Vancouver, British Columbia

Minister Ng and representatives from Chile will participate in a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Canada-Chile Technical Cooperation in Trade Agreement Evaluation.

Bilateral Meetings

Date: Wednesday, November 27, 2024
Start Time: 10 a.m. PT – Schedule will be shared with registered media.
Place: Vancouver, British Columbia

Minister Ng will hold a series of bilateral meetings with her international trade counterparts from the member countries of the CPTPP. Media are invited to attend the Minister’s welcoming remarks at the beginning of each meeting.

CPTPP in Action

Place: Vancouver, British Columbia

Minister Ng and her CPTPP colleagues will meet with talented entrepreneurs and explore innovative companies active in CPTPP markets, featuring interactive technology demonstrations.

CPTPP Closing News Conference

Date: Thursday, November 28, 2024
Start Time: 2:30 p.m. PT
Place: Vancouver, British Columbia

The closing news conference will feature all participating CPTPP heads of delegation. Minister Ng will deliver opening remarks, followed by a Q&A session with the media. A livestream link will be available for media abroad.
