‘Terrifier’ star David Howard Thornton proposes to girlfriend in full Art the Clown costume

“Terrifier” star David Howard Thornton got clown on one knee and popped the question to fiancée Jada Christine — while he was in full Art the Clown costume and makeup.

The two were attending the Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo over the weekend in Alabama when Thornton, wearing his now iconic outfit from the hit horror movie franchise, is seen in video posted on Saturday crouching down.

Christine puts her hand to her mouth in shock and excitement. As Thornton pops the big question from behind the black-and-white mask covering his entire face, he asks, “Will you marry me?”

Christine responds, “Yes, yes, yes, I will!” She then gets down to his level and kisses him on his black rictus grin as the couple hug and smile.

Thornton and Christine have been dating for nine months.

Christine posted on her Instagram story on Sunday, “I dont usually post snarky things, but this made me laugh. I came from a relationship where I had to beg to be treated right to being worshipped like a goddess by David,” she continued in the next story post.

“I met David when I was still with the person who did not treat me right. But David was not the reason the relationship ended. My dad passed away, and I realized how short life really is and how badly I needed change. We officially started dating in July, and my life has changed for the better in so many ways. Thank you for all of the congratulations and well wishes you have sent.”

On Thornton’s Instagram page, in addition to the proposal post, there are multiple photos of Thornton and Christine together, including a picture of Christine with the chihuahua they share, a photo captioned “stranded in an airport,” and a video of the pair doing the “Warheads challenge.”
