Unforgettable Travel Experience? Tell Us What Happened

Editorial team @ Simple Flying. Bringing you the latest aviation news and insight!

We’re looking to share unforgettable travel stories from our readers, the moments that made your journey anything but ordinary.

Have you experienced something unusual on a flight or at an airport? We’d love to hear from you.

This could be anything from an unexpected upgrade or a diversion that completely changed your plans, to a missed connection for unbelievable reasons. We’re also interested in more emotional or challenging experiences, including dramatic airport moments, acts of kindness, or situations that highlight just how unpredictable air travel can be.

We’re especially keen to hear about:

  • Memorable airline or flight experiences, such as surprising in-flight incidents, flight delays or cancellations, and being bumped from a flight, whether handled poorly or exceptionally well.
  • Unusual or challenging experiences with airport security (TSA), including confiscated items, unexpected bans, or REAL ID-related issues.
  • Encounters with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, or similar border authorities worldwide, whether entering or exiting a country, including experiences faced by American passport holders abroad.

If you’re a passenger or work in aviation and have a story to share, please get in touch with a brief outline of what happened and when it occurred. Photos and videos are welcome but not required.

Selected stories may be featured in an upcoming Simple Flying article, and interview quotes may also appear on our sister site, TheTravel.com.

If you would like to take part in this series, send us a message at admin@simpleflying.com!
