Video: First ‘daylight offside’ goal scored in Canadian Premier League


Pacific FC forward Alejandro Diaz scores against Halifax Wanderers in the Canadian Premier League, the first instance of a “daylight offside” situation resulting in a goal.

The goal would be ruled offside under the standard Laws of the Game, however, it was allowed in the competition as part of the league’s ongoing trial in cooperation with FIFA.
