Minister Anand meets with Polish counterpart


September 27, 2025 – New York City, New York – Global Affairs Canada 

The Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Radosław Sikorski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, on the margins of the UN General Assembly in New York City, New York. 

The ministers discussed pressing geopolitical challenges, including support for Ukraine’s defence and recovery.

The ministers also discussed pursuing deeper trade and investment ties in defence, energy, aerospace and critical minerals.

Minister Anand congratulated Deputy Prime Minister Sikorski on his appointment as Deputy Prime Minister and conveyed Canada’s solidarity with Poland in response to Russian drone incursions into NATO airspace.
