Animal Justice calls on Liberals to ban horse exports – The Hill Times


Despite a 2021 Liberal Party pledge to “ban the live export of horses for slaughter,” the practice continues with the death of at least nine of the animals between September 2024 and September 2025 that were shipped to Japan, according to a recently released report by Animal Justice, which has called on the federal government to end horse exports.
