“He’s got a paws-port!” – Cat keeps crossing the U.S.-Canada border
Something a bit more light hearted from CTV on March 17th, 2026. Putting aside the ethics of cats allowed to roam outside, this news segment following Surrey, BC resident Louis and his flouting of the law amidst the current Canada-US tensions feels like a balm.
“Unfazed by jurisdictional authority, he [Louis Vuitton] is the Canadian border jumping kitty cat. Decidedly confident – ignoring the watchful gaze of border agents and that machine in the sky that’s as useful as the dog as far as he’s concerned – several times a day, almost every day, he shows little interest in international law and carries on his very important work of mousing.”
