Deal alert: Thrifty Traveler prices are going up, but you can lock in a discounted price for life

We love a deal alert at TPG — and Thrifty Traveler is one of the companies we regularly turn to for flight deals.

Thrifty Traveler’s top Premium+ flight deal alert service bundle is going to get more expensive starting March 14, increasing from $149.99 to $189.99 per year. So if you’ve never tried the service, now is a good time to sign up, especially since you can also get $20 off a subscription by using our link.

The costs of both the Premium and Premium+ services are going up soon:

  • $129.99 annually for Thrifty Traveler Premium (up from $99.99)
  • $189.99 annually for Thrifty Traveler Premium+ (up from $149.99)

“First-time subscribers who sign up beforehand can lock in the current rates, plus save an extra $20 [by using the TPG link],” the company told TPG. “Current Premium flight deal members can also add Hotel Alerts to their existing subscription for $49.99 a year, before the price of that optional add-on increases to $59.99.”

To take advantage of a subscription before prices jump, just use TPG’s Thrifty Traveler link.

As an example of what you can expect, on Tuesday the company sent out a round-trip deal alert to Tahiti for just $464 … that’s a record low!

According to Thrifty Traveler, here are just a few of the deals sent to subscribers in the past few years:

  • Domestic round-trip tickets under $200 (or even under $100) for trips across the country
  • Nearly 30 award deals to help members redeem their points and miles, like a Delta SkyMiles flash sale on flights to Costa Rica from 16,000 miles round-trip and excellent Qatar Airways Qsuite availability to the Middle East or the Maldives
  • An unprecedented amount of business-class award space to get to Europe in lie-flat seats during the peak summer season, including deals like wide-open Air France-KLM Flying Blue awards, United Airlines’ Polaris cabin for 53,000 MileagePlus miles and American Airlines business class for 62,000 AAdvantage miles
