Canada Abstains from United Nations General Assembly resolution on Admission of new Members to the United Nations



Today, Global Affairs Canada issued this statement: “In 1947, the United Nations General Assembly adopted resolution 181 and agreed that the only viable solution for peace in the Middle East was the creation of two states. However, 75 years later, the full promise of that vision has not been fulfilled.
