Announcement of new diplomatic appointments


September 5, 2024 – Ottawa, Ontario – Global Affairs Canada

The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced the following diplomatic appointments:

Christopher Boehm becomes Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Iraq. Mr. Boehm replaces Kathy Bunka.

Myriam Montrat becomes High Commissioner in the Republic of Ghana. Ms. Montrat replaces Martine Moreau.
