Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s latest update adds in the incredibly red, claw-machine-arm-toting Techmarine class

Why do they always make cyborg types in movies and games talk like that? You know what I mean, that kind of “I’m not a robot but I talk as if I am one,” kind of cadence. We may never find the answer, but in any case, such a case has cropped up again in the latest update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, which introduces the Techmarine class for you to spill some guts with.

The very red Techmarine class, according to this convenient post of the blog variety, is one that is quite good for doing a bit of crowd control and area defence. This is in part thanks to the automated gun attached to one shoulder, and a glorified claw machine grabber arm on the other. Speaking of, said arm can also be used to repair turrets which can, in turn, you guessed it, also shoot at your enemies. And the Techmarine also comes with a snazzy new melee weapon, the Omnissian Axe, which is exclusive to this class.

Judging from an accompanying trailer, there’s a few other bits to tuck into as well. For starters there’s a new operation called Disruption, taking you to a very churchy looking locale with a robo dragon to kill (please don’t shoot me for not knowing the name is this robo dragon, loreheads, I am but a humble news writer). You’ll find a few new heroic weapons, including a new gun, a dagger-looking blade, and another axe too. And on top of all that, with this patch there’s a chapter voice pack that adds over “over 1300 voicelines re-recorded in the unique styles of the Blood Angels, Space Wolves and Black Templars chapters.”

For those with the second season pass, there’ll be a few cosmetics to pick up too, like the Champion Pack which includes the Assault Champion skin, as well as a Raven Guard Bolt Pistol skin. And you’ll get a few new armour pieces from the Carcharodons Pack as well. Happy Space Marining!
