A free Lego Star Wars lightsaber will be available in March in selected stores

The Force is strong with this Lego event

As much as some Star Wars fans appreciate adult-oriented spin-offs like Andor, many are still kids at heart. We love the Lego figurines, the Star Wars Lego Advent Calendar, and the busts of all our favorite characters, like Darth Vader and The Mandalorian. We do wish that Lego would take a chance on an Andor Lego set already, but there’s even more great news on the way. If you’ve ever wanted your very own Lego lightsaber, your dreams are about to come true. If you live in the UK, that is.

Lego has previously run events that allowed visitors to walk away from participating stores with a brand-new Lego item, often without spending a dime. The latest in this series is taking place in select Lego stores on Mar. 7 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and on Mar. 8 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Participants will be able to attend and grab their very own lightsaber, a must-have for any Lego Star Wars aficionado.

However, there are multiple catches. The first is that the free Lego Star Wars lightsabers are available on a first-come, first-served basis, meaning that you’ll need to skedaddle in order to get there early and grab the item while supplies last. The biggest problem, however, is that the event is only available at participating locations within the UK. Sorry, US and international fans, it looks like you missed out this time around. You can check whether your store is participating in the event on the official Lego website.

Even so, if the event does well in the UK, there’s always a chance that it (or something similar) could be scheduled for US and international audiences in the future. For now, though, March is where the fun begins for Star Wars Brits.
