Chet Lo found purpose for his namesake label after taking a one-season break, and yes, he doesn’t have to follow the wholesale model or be cornered as a knit specialist so that he can shine.

As the saying goes, “the world is your oyster,” Lo’s inner Hong Kong-ness knows it can be served with a slice of lemon, steamed with shredded scallions and soy sauce, or deep fried and coated with delicious salted egg yolk crumbs.

Fall 2026 was a lot to put together, but Lo said it was “the most fun and the meaningful thing” he has done so far. A Hong Kong-style night market was built inside the ballroom of Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park. Friends from his Asian community, showcasing their respective creative works and passion for food, became the ideal setting for him to tell a story.

The compact lineup painted a precise image of who Chet Lo is for. His signature spiky knits and tight, second-skin silhouettes were still there, but they felt more protective and self-assured than aggressive. A palette of green, red, and charcoal suggested neon signs, steam, and the crowded streets of a busy Hong Kong neighborhood.

Also, let’s not forget those show-stealing eyewear pieces, done in partnership with Cubitts, taking cues from Peking opera with long pheasant feathers framing the face.

It would be equally hard to miss guests wearing big headphones at the show. Lo explained that they were people with restricted vision, and through live audio descriptions of each look, supported by the Asian People’s Disability Alliance and Hair & Care CIC, they were able to enjoy the collection alongside sighted attendees.
