As the weather finally begins to warm up across the country, one could confidently say that it’s starting to feel like spring is in the air. Nike, Inc.’s Jordan Brand is leaning all the way into this attitude with a new version of Michael Jordan’s third signature sneaker set to arrive at retail next month.

The Air Jordan 3 Retro OG “Spring Is in the Air” features a pastel-covered Sail/Jade Aura/Aura/Iced Carmine/Muslin/Iris Whisper color combination. In more basic terms, the pair features an off-white leather upper that’s accented with light pastel shades of green, blue, purple and pink along with a creamy pre-yellowed midsole. While the colors alone are enough to tell the story, the pair will reportedly be tagged with the aforementioned springtime nickname.

While these sorts of pastel-heavy pairs are oftentimes reserved for women’s-exclusive releases, this Air Jordan 3 OG will be available in full family sizing, allowing everyone to get in on the action. Also of note on this pair is its OG-style Nike Air heel branding, a detail which was historically used only on original colorways but is starting to appear on more new styles.

The Air Jordan 3 was designed by Tinker Hatfield and first released in 1988. Notable for its introduction of the now-iconic Jumpman logo and exotic elephant print-styled touches at the heel and toe, the sneaker is credited with convincing Michael Jordan to stick with Nike after briefly entertaining switching to Adidas following the Air Jordan 2.

The Air Jordan 3 OG Spring Is in the Air will be released on March 28 for a retail price of $215 from Nike’s Snkrs app and select Jordan Brand retailers. The style code for the upcoming pair is IF4396-100.
