According to the FBI, Demorizi was wanted for multiple violations, including assisting the so-called Ryan Wedding Criminal Enterprise with locating a witness who was later murdered.

Wedding, an alleged Canadian drug lord who competed for Canada as a snowboarder at the 2002 Olympic Games in Utah, was arrested in Mexico in January after a decade on the run. He faces 17 charges related to murder and drug trafficking.
