I don’t know about you, but it takes close to nothing for my sensitive skin to react to pretty much anything with redness. Whether I’m washing my face, putting on my favorite moisturizer, or getting a calming facial, my skin, nine out of 10 times, will be red by the end of it. There are also just some areas on my face that are pretty much always red no matter what (like around my nose for example). And although concealers and skin tints tend to do a good job at hiding it, I can still sometimes see it showing through.

Admittedly, it can be frustrating to deal with redness and other forms of discoloration like dark spots, dark circles, etc. The good news is that color correcting products exist to make the process a lot easier. “Color corrector is what I reach for when concealer alone is not enough,” says celebrity makeup artist Reneé Loiz. “It neutralizes discoloration like dark circles, redness, or hyperpigmentation, so you can use less concealer and the skin still looks natural and even.”
