As the Phoenix Suns and the Brooklyn Nets battled it out, Brooks landed a technical foul after getting tangled up with his opponent. For Brooks, it was his 15th tech of the season, placing him one away from a suspension this year.

Fortunately, Brooks will not be in danger of suspension the next time he steps on the court. On Wednesday, the NBA announced that the technical foul had been rescinded upon league office review. That’s great news for the Suns, who have been fortunate to see Brooks take a major step for their team this season.

Brooks wrapped up Tuesday night’s action with 26 points off 9-15 shooting from the field, 2-5 from three, and 6-6 from the charity stripe. He added three rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block in 34 minutes of action. The Suns defeated the Nets 106-102.

Since getting traded to the Suns from the Houston Rockets, Brooks has taken his game to another level.

In 41 matchups, the veteran forward has shot 44 percent from the field. He is attempting 7.0 threes per game, knocking down 34 percent of his shots from beyond the arc. The veteran forward is producing 20.5 points per game, which marks a new career-high for him. He is also producing 2.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.

After a major offseason shakeup, the NBA world didn’t know what to make of the Suns this year. So far, they have been highly impressive. After a win over the Nets, the Suns are 29-19 on the year. They place sixth in the Western Conference, trailing the Los Angeles Lakers by one game.

Booker and the Suns will get Wednesday night off. They’ll return to the court on Thursday for a home game against the Eastern Conference’s top squad, the Detroit Pistons.
