Tod’s Launches Collection in Collaboration With Franz Kraler Boutique

TOD’S ITALIAN WINTER: Olympic fever is starting to rise in Italy and Tod’s will celebrate the season by launching a limited-edition collection called “Italian Winter” in collaboration with the Franz Kraler boutique in Cortina d’Ampezzo.

Tod’s revisited two of its signature footwear designs, the suede ankle boot Winter Gommino here available with a shearling lining, and the Gommino loafer, presented in premium leather and in a shearling version.

Shearling also features in the T Timeless family of bags, in both the tote and micro-bucket styles.

A down jacket completes the range. For women, it is presented in a cashmere blend trimmed with leather, while for men it’s in a technical fabric variant and a Pashmy version — Tod’s uber-luxurious hide.

A dedicated patch celebrates the Dolomites across the collection.

Tod’s is taking over the Franz Kraler boutique, with windows and the exterior reflecting the brand’s Italian lifestyle: A striking white mountain landscape spans the storefront, brought to life by animated cable cars and skiers.

Tod’s will celebrate the “Italian Winter” collection on Jan. 31 with a cocktail at the store in Cortina d’Ampezzo. The collection will be available also at the Tod’s boutique in Milan, on tods.com, and on franzkraler.com.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics will begin on Feb. 6 and run until Feb. 22, while the Paralympics are slated from March 6 to 15.

The luxury multibrand boutique Franz Kraler has undergone a major revamp with help from Italian architecture firm Raumwerk. As reported, the Kraler family has also been at the forefront of hospitality and has opened the state-of-the-art Chalet Franz Kraler-Club Moritzino at the Socrepes location, where the Ria De Saco ski-slope lodge once stood. The latter was an earlier Franz Kraler hospitality project that opened in 2022.

Unveiled in December, the chalet is managed in partnership with Club Moritzino, a popular après-ski spot in Piz La Ila, Italy, a ski resort in the Dolomites’ Alta Badia region and was developed by the BlueArch design studio and covers three floors. The ground floor houses a restaurant, which boasts a terrace overlooking the slopes, equipped with a bar counter. A 430-square-foot wine cellar suspended over the main hall will be dedicated to wine tastings and private events.
