Communications Exec Jenny Kim Said Joining Christian Dior Americas

MORE DIOR: Christian Dior has moved swiftly to fill a top communications position in the Americas, WWD has learned.

According to market sources, Jenny Kim is to succeed Marisa Pucci, who recently exited her role as chief communications and image officer at Christian Dior Americas to join Moncler.

It is understood Kim starts next month, moving over to Dior from Bottega Veneta, where she has been senior vice president of marketing and communications for the past six years, based in New York.

The seasoned communications executive has also held senior roles at Proenza Schouler, Prada USA and Helmut Lang, according to her LinkedIn page. She also spent five years as vice president of fashion at agency PR Consulting.

Kim joins Dior at a transformational moment, with the Paris fashion house now led by creative director Jonathan Anderson, who is to unveil his first haute couture collection Monday during Paris Couture Week.

In addition, Christian Dior Couture Americas welcomes a new president on Feb. 1 when Charlotte Holman moves over from her current role as president of Parfums Christian Dior for North America.

Holman Ros succeeds Alexandra Winokur, who is to leave her position on Saturday after a one-month handover period, as reported.

Last year, the fashion house opened two major flagships in the U.S.: the House of Dior Beverly Hills at at 323 North Rodeo Drive, and the House of Dior New York at the corner of 57th Street and Madison Avenue.

“The U.S. market is extremely important for Dior,” Delphine Arnault, chairman and chief executive officer at Dior, told WWD in an interview last year.
