He emphasized that only players with great character dare to take on the responsibility of a penalty in such a crucial moment, urging the Moroccan star to keep his head up.

In his message, Ramos wrote: “Only those with the personality to take them miss., Ibrahim.”

He added: “Always keep your head high, brother. Football always offers a chance for revenge, and you’ve given us much more than what slipped away today. Let’s go for the next one with even more strength ! Always on my team.”

In the dying minutes of the AFCON final, Morocco were awarded a penalty after a VAR review—a decision hotly contested by the “Lions of Teranga” and one that caused a temporary halt to the match.
