There’s nothing like the moment you realize that one of your die-hard closet go-tos is starting to trend among fashion people. It’s an exciting moment since it will inevitably lead to fresh ideas on how to style the piece. This is the case for me with green pants at the moment. Aside from jeans, I have always relied on various green pants regardless of the season, so when I noticed several chic versions on my Instagram and TikTok feeds from Paris to London, I took note.

The way I see it, green pants are a neutral. The versatile color pairs perfectly with most other colors, and the pants can be styled in endless ways that appeal to a variety of personal preferences. Currently, I am eyeing barrel-leg, relaxed, and linen options worn with elevated basics like button-down shirts, white tees, and timeless sweaters. As for the shoes, it’s all about of-the-moment flip-flop sandals and classics like black ballet flats.
