The aircraft that it has chosen will also feature an upgraded interior.
Delta, Alaska And Southwest Airlines To Follow Suit
As suggested by Edwards Russel on X, American Airlines is just the first airline to announce its plans to celebrate America’s semiquincentennial. AA’s two aircraft that will be dressed in the unique America250 livery will soon be joined by Seattle-based
Alaska Airlines, Dallas-based
Southwest Airlines, and Chicago’s
United Airlines.
These airlines are expected to unveil their own take on the America250 livery, with the stylized 250 logo expected to be between the wings and the tail of the airplanes. The Declaration of Independence, the founding document of the United States was curated by Thomas Jefferson, Roger Sherman, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, and Robert R. Livingston and published on July 4, 1776, and announced the planned separation from Great Britain. It was ratified 249 years ago, and will be celebrated for 250 years this coming July 4.
While most airlines across the country will no doubt celebrate the America250 movement, for the four airlines of AA, AS, WN and UA, the commemoration with the America250 livery will ensure the proud colours of red, white and blue continue to soar across the country in what willbe the most memorable July 4 the country has ever seen.
