2026 Golden Globes Fantasy Red Carpet

So who will wear what?

Predicting what celebrities will wear to award shows is always a guessing game. Will brand ambassadors wear signature creations or surprise with archival masterpieces; will an up-and-comer steal the spotlight with a look by a lesser-known label?

The Golden Globes has long been one of the most interesting and directional of awards shows. Iconic fashion moments were made, showcasing more than just attendees in strapless mermaid gowns and safe choices deemed boring. The 2025 carpet was one of the strongest in recent memory, dominated by method dressing, thoughtfully considered vintage gowns and one-of-a-kind designs from the leading creative directors of the most influential brands.

Contenders include red carpet veterans like Jennifer Lawrence, rising fashion icons such as Cynthia Erivo and Teyana Taylor, and up-and-comers like Tessa Thompson and Chase Infiniti.

The 2026 Golden Globes red carpet promises an even more competitive and creative field. For now, it’s anyone’s guess what the nominees will be wearing the night of the event. But I hope the stars throw caution to the winds and go for it. Hence, I created my own fantasy red carpet, where the winners in my book are those who break the rules and wear fashion with a capital F.

Jennifer Lawrence, a Dior ambassador for over a decade, stunned at the Governors Awards in a Jonathan Anderson silk gown with an off-the-shoulder neckline and sky-high slit. For the Globes, we hope their fashion love affair stays alive in a powder-blue pre-fall 2026 Dior gown with sculpted draping and a fluid, floor-length skirt.

Teyana Taylor has been killing it on the red carpet this year, from metallics by rising couture star Miss Sohee to a seductive sheer number from Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann. When it comes to archive and vintage dressing, Galliano’s Dior is the holy grail, and this fall 1999 sheer metallic number is a perfect example. She would conquer the carpet with this unforgettable look.

Tessa Thompson, Armani Beauty ambassador, has proven she is simply cool, turning every carpet into a showcase of fearless style — from sculptural Balenciaga and Proenza Schouler to sleek Schiaparelli moments. The Golden Globes would be the perfect moment to honor Mr. Armani’s incredible red carpet legacy in a very “Armani” black look from his final Armani Privé collection.

Cynthia Erivo’s master class in method dressing during the “Wicked 2” press tour proved that chic and strategy can coexist, with Goth references and dramatic volumes delivering some of 2025’s best red-carpet moments. The ultimate fantasy would be Alexander McQueen’s fall 2010 look from the “Angels & Demons” collection with gilded feathers and dramatic Renaissance volumes, an original piece of vintage that remains among the most sought-after pieces in fashion history.

Chase Infiniti, the new Louis Vuitton ambassador, is the new ultimate fashion “It” girl, a fearless risk-taker bringing much-needed red carpet energy to the iconic French house. With that said, she stunned in an orange Schiaparelli at the first-time nominee event of the Golden Globes, reinforcing why Daniel Roseberry remains an obsession for the cool Hollywood crowd. For the Golden Globes carpet, a vibrant red sequined Old Hollywood gown with matching gloves from the spring 2026 collection would be the perfect way to launch her red carpet journey at full speed in the new year.
