2-Inch-and-Under Shoes From Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale

My fashion-editor faux pas is that I don’t own high heels. Living in New York, where I walk a lot, I’m against willingly signing up for foot pain. Even when I go to weddings and fancier events, I love kitten heels.

My shoe-shopping rule of thumb is filtering for options with a heel height of two inches or under, and since I’m not much of a sneaker person, this means relying on comfortable yet chic styles like ballet flats, knee-high boots, loafers, and Mary Janes. Kitten-heel sandals are my spring and summer staple, while low-heel pumps are a go-to for fall when it gets chilly (and as far into winter as I can get before it becomes impractical).
