13 New Routes Starting In Just 2 Days [Full List]

Allegiant is the US’s ninth-largest domestic operator by flights. It has an average of 324 daily movements in February, which is, perhaps surprisingly, down by 3% compared to the same month last year. The ultra-low-cost carrier only has one in every 67 of the country’s domestic services.

According to the latest Cirium Diio data, the budget operator’s network in February consists of 121 airports, all of which are in the US. Flights involve 42 states, with 70% being to, from, and within Florida. In all, Allegiant has 400 routes this month, some of which started last week. However, its sole overnight service, from Las Vegas to Orlando Sanford, does not return until March.

Analyzing the carrier’s routes between February 9 and 15 shows that 13 routes will begin or recommence. They’re shown above and summarized below. All of them will take off on February 12 and 13, with no launches on the other days. Other US airlines will begin or restart 17 routes this week; they’ll be covered separately.

Only six of the airport pairs have previously been served. Only one of them will already have nonstop flights when Allegiant takes off. That’s Fort Lauderdale to Albany. It’ll join Southwest (which operated from 2008-2021, and again from 2023) and JetBlue (from 2015). Allegiant’s arrival means the market has had three operators simultaneously. However, Southwest ends the route on March 1, which is probably why Allegiant will launch it.

Welcome To Burbank, Allegiant!

Allegiant’s first-ever commercial service from the Los Angeles-area airport takes place on February 12. When that happens, the carrier will fly to eight airports in California: Burbank, Fresno, Monterey, Oakland, Palm Springs, Orange County, Santa Maria, and Stockton. In the past, it flew to Bakersfield, Long Beach, Los Angeles International, Palm Springs, Redding, San Diego, Santa Barbara, San Francisco International, and Santa Rosa.

Late last year, Avelo ceased flying to Burbank, which was its first base. Breeze quickly stated it’d add the Californian airport to its network. Allegiant did, too, although none of its upcoming routes this year—Bellingham, Des Moines, Indianapolis, Provo—were served by Avelo. However, Allegiant will compete head-to-head with Breeze from Provo. Breeze’s first flight on that route, and at Burbank, was on February 5.

It’ll also become the carrier’s new longest transatlantic narrowbody service, but perhaps not for long.

Brand-new airport pairs are particularly exciting, as they push boundaries. Over half of Allegiant’s 13 additions this week fall into this category. Like some other operators, it is renowned for seeking out new opportunities that it believes will work. Of course, that’s far from guaranteed.

New routes include Sarasota to Rochester. At 972 nautical miles (1,800 km) each way, it is only Allegiant’s eighth-longest route from the Florida airport, while it is its new shortest link from the New York airport.

According to the US Department of Transportation, the market had 27,000 indirect passengers in the 12 months to June 2025. Southwest had 46% of the market, with nearly everyone changing planes in Baltimore. Rochester was Sarasota’s second-largest unserved domestic market (after Phoenix). However, Circus City was only Rochester’s 11th largest unserved domestic destination.
