100+ New Dishes: Singapore Airlines Unveils Major Inflight Dining Upgrade

When it comes to onboard amenities, passengers can generally look to Asia and the Middle East in order to find the best that the airline industry has to offer today. Singapore Airlines is one such carrier from this region, and it is now preparing to take a big step forward on this front by launching a wide range of new enhancements to its inflight dining experience. All cabins, including economy, will see upgrades as a result.

Of course, the most lavish enhancements can be expected in the carrier’s premium cabins, with Singapore Airlines keen to highlight the fact that there will be “distinctive presentation and service touches for selected dishes in Suites and First Class.” This upgrade package forms part of a wider elevation of the overall travel experience at Singapore Airlines, which it plans to unveil in November of this year.

Something For Everyone

Singapore Airlines’ dining upgrades are more than just about serving nicer food to passengers. Indeed, every aspect of the dining experience has been considered, with “new and refreshed menus, refined beverage offerings, [and] custom-designed serviceware” among the key features. The initiative will see more than 100 dishes introduced across all classes of travel that are either new or refreshed.

Singapore Airlines has named this new range the SIA Chefs’ Selection, and it is the result of extensive collaboration between the airline’s in-house and guest chefs, as well as various catering partners. The menu, it says, “brings together comforting and familiar flavours, regional favourites, reimagined classics.” Further elaborating on the dining upgrades, Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President of Customer Experience at Singapore Airlines, said:

“Guided by customer feedback, evolving preferences, and emerging dining trends, we have reviewed every aspect of the experience, from menu design, seasonal ingredients, and cooking techniques to beverage selection, presentation, and cabin crew service.”

The Rollout Has Begun

With more than 100 new and refreshed dishes featured as part of Singapore Airlines’ new enhanced inflight catering experience, a menu of this scale cannot be expected to be rolled out overnight in its entirety. Instead, the Star Alliance member has opted to introduce the dishes in a more phased manner, and this progressive rollout has already begun, so passengers should keep their eyes peeled!

Meanwhile, Singapore Airlines notes that “the remaining dining enhancements, including new beverages, serviceware, and onboard service touches, will be introduced from November 2026.” On the beverage side of things, passengers across all classes of travel can expect new options when it comes to spirits, while those traveling in Suites, First Class, and Business Class will also have new wines.

As it happens, the beverage experience in Suites and First Class also extends to food pairings, with Singapore Airlines going on to explain that, in these classes of travel, “cabin crew may also offer beverage recommendations to complement customers’ meal selections.” All in all, this approach is summarized perfectly by Yeoh Phee Teik, who explains that “in-flight dining is about much more than the meal itself.”

Part Of A Wider Initiative

As previously noted, November 2026 will be a key rollout for certain aspects of Singapore Airlines’ enhanced new inflight catering experience. This date aligns with the unveiling of the carrier’s new elevated end-to-end travel experience, which will be revealed in full in Singapore during that month. Naturally, the food and drink that the carrier’s guests enjoy on board will form a key pillar of this initiative.

This broader investment also encapsulates other aspects of the modern airline passenger experience, such as “next-generation cabin products and the KrisWorld in-flight entertainment system, new amenities, high-speed connectivity, and on-ground services.” Singapore Airlines already has a stellar reputation on the world stage, and, with these upgrades on the horizon, things are only about to get better.
