This means you could book a round-trip lie-flat seat to France with 30,000 Chase points left over from the Sapphire Reserve welcome bonus.

Air France business class is one of the best premium cabin options across the Atlantic, offering a fully flat seat with direct aisle access and a dining experience that draws on the airline’s French culinary heritage.

Flying Blue also runs a monthly Promo Rewards promotion that discounts select routes by 25%, so if your travel is flexible, checking for a promo award before booking could stretch those miles even further.

Take the whole family round-trip to London with accommodation included

Transfer your Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club at a 1:1 rate to book economy Saver fares from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), Dulles International Airport (IAD) near Washington, D.C., or Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to London’s Heathrow Airport (LHR) starting from just 6,000 Virgin points per person one-way, inclusive of checked baggage, seat selection and meals, which means four people can fly round-trip for as few as 48,000 Chase points, plus taxes, fees and surcharges.

That leaves more than 100,000 points from the welcome bonus available for a hotel. You could book four people into a Standard Double room with two double beds from as little as 21,000 Chase points per night at the Standard London by transferring your Chase points to World of Hyatt.

Note that Hyatt will be changing their award rates to add new pricing categories for bookings made from May 20 onward.

The VIP suite spans 1,080 square feet and includes a king bed, two private balconies, a sofa bed, an extra bathroom, a kitchen alcove and a living area large enough to seat 12, making it a great choice for families traveling with children or extended family groups. The Queen of the Skies in first class to Europe

Transfer partner Air Canada Aeroplan is the best way to fly the aspirational Lufthansa first class with Chase points. From East Coast airports like JFK, Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), or BOS, a one-way Lufthansa first-class ticket to Frankfurt Airport (FRA) or Munich Airport (MUC) costs 90,000 Aeroplan points plus minimal taxes and fees.

For a longer flight from Texas or California, it’s 100,000 Aeroplan points one-way, still well under the welcome bonus from the Sapphire Reserve.

Aeroplan will increase the price of some partner awards for bookings made from June 1, and these 100,000-point flights will increase to 120,000 points each way, still an excellent deal for an iconic first-class product. Shorter legs, like those from the Northeast, will not increase in price from the current 90,000 point rate.

One practical note: Lufthansa typically releases first-class seats to partner programs like Aeroplan only a few days before departure, so flexibility with travel dates is essential. Transfer your Chase points to the British Airways Club to book nonstop flights operated by American Airlines or Alaska Airlines from California to Hawaii at 22,000 Avios per person one-way. Two travelers flying round-trip costs 88,000 Avios total, with taxes and fees usually running just $5.60 per person each way.

Fly round-trip business class to Europe on various Star Alliance airlines

Air Canada Aeroplan is one of the best Chase transfer partners for reaching Europe in business class, and a 150,000-point balance is enough to get you there and back in comfort. For routes under 4,000 miles in length — think JFK, EWR or BOS to Lisbon Airport (LIS), CDG, MUC or Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) — business-class partner awards on the likes of Lufthansa, Swiss and TAP Air Portugal are priced at 60,000 Aeroplan points each way.

Aeroplan does not pass on carrier-imposed fuel surcharges for most partner-operated flights, so out-of-pocket taxes and fees are typically low.

Aeroplan is increasing many partner redemption rates for bookings from June 1, but the sweet spot for flights under 4,000 miles from the Northeast to Western Europe in business class will remain unchanged after this date.

Book a family all-inclusive vacation in Cancun, flights included

Transfer your Ultimate Rewards to JetBlue’s TrueBlue program at a 1:1 rate to book nonstop flights to CUN from northeastern airports for as few as 6,600 TrueBlue points per person one-way. Four people can fly round-trip for as few as 52,800 transferred Chase points.

That leaves almost 100,000 Ultimate Rewards points for the resort stay. Transferring those Chase points to World of Hyatt opens up all-inclusive resorts in the Cancun and Riviera Maya area, where many Secrets and Dreams-branded properties currently charge between 21,000 and 29,000 Hyatt points per night based on double occupancy, all-inclusive.
