1 shooter dead after alert at secondary school in Tumbler Ridge, B.C.: RCMP


Tumbler Ridge is a community of around 2,400 people, as of the 2021 census, located around 660 kilometres northeast of Vancouver.

Tumbler Ridge Secondary School has 160 students, according to its website.

School District 59, which covers the Peace River South region, said in a post on its website that a “hold and secure” lockdown was initiated at both Tumbler Ridge Secondary and nearby Tumbler Ridge Elementary School.
