With the Mega Dimension DLC right around the corner, Game Freak is giving away another free, powerful Pokémon for all Pokémon Legends: Z-A players. For a limited time, an Alpha Charizard will be available via Mystery Gift.
Unlike the Diancie and Mewtwo Mystery Gifts, the Alpha Charizard isn’t part of a side mission and does not need to be battled. Simply go through the Mystery Gift menus and use the password B1G0006 to get the Alpha Charizard. It will be available from now until Jan. 19, 2026.
The Alpha Charizard will be level 36 and will know the move Solar Beam, which Charizard doesn’t normally learn. Alpha Pokémon are larger in appearance and have stronger stats than their regular counterparts, so Alpha Charizard will make for a powerful addition to any team.
The Mega Dimension trailer also confirms Hoenn’s starting trio will be making their way to Lumiose City. Sceptile, Swampert, and Blaziken’s Mega Stones will be future rewards for online ranked battles, and the Pokémon will be catchable during the DLC’s adventures through Hyperspace Lumiose.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A — Mega Dimension launches Wednesday, Dec. 10, for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. With the help of newcomer Ansha and her Pokémon Hoopa, it sends your trainer and other Team MZ members to a new version of Lumiose City. There, you’ll encounter powerful Pokémon whose levels exceed 100. Make sure you’ve beaten the base game before purchasing the DLC, because Mega Dimension is only available after completing Pokémon Legends: Z-A‘s main story.
