The 35-year-old woman charged in relation to a series of stabbing attacks in Vancouver’s Yaletown neighbourhood last October has entered guilty pleas on all the counts she is facing.
Tamara Hamelin was arrested on Oct. 10 after three people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Four additional victims also came forward, including another stabbing victim, a person who was reportedly physically assaulted and two others who were not physically injured.
The victims included five men and two women, ranging in age from 23 to 59. They were attacked near David Lam Park, along the Yaletown section of Vancouver’s seawall.
At the time, police said the assaults were violent and unprovoked.
Hamelin was later charged with four counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of assault.
She pleaded guilty to the charges in Vancouver’s Downtown Community Court on Dec. 16 and remains in custody, the B.C. Prosecution Service confirmed to CBC News.
Hamelin is set to be sentenced on March 31, according to court documents.
