It is always enjoyable to examine schedules to see which new routes will begin in a particular period. Let’s examine US additions. Between February 10 and 14, American Airlines, Avelo, Breeze, Frontier, and Southwest will introduce 15 links.
They add to Allegiant’s 13 additions. As they were dealt with separately, they won’t be summarized here. Nonetheless, they included the ultra-low-cost carrier’s debut in Burbank, which has become its eighth airport in California.
American, Avelo & Breeze’s 7 Routes
They are summarized below, with the order based on the start date. Impressively, all but one of the routes are brand-new to the stated airline’s map. More notably, two have never been served by any carrier before. They include 
Charlotte to Vero Beach. According to Cirium Diio data, American and American Eagle will now serve 17 Florida airports from the North Carolina hub in 2026.
Various additions are notable. For example, notice 
Miami to Bimini, in the Bahamas. At just 56 nautical miles (104 km) each way, it is American’s new shortest route across its full, enormous network. Then there’s Providence to Cancun, which has become Rhode Island’s sole international passenger offering since BermudAir’s short-lived service from Bermuda in 2025.

Frontier & Southwest’s Eight Additional Routes
Only services that are scheduled for at least one month are included, which means that Frontier’s multiple time-limited new airport pairs in the run-up to New Orleans’ Mardi Gras are excluded. Despite this, New Orleans features heavily, with the ultra-low-cost operator introducing five routes there in the examined period.
Airlines must always keep abreast of what’s happening in the wider market in which they exist. This is for various reasons, including spotting new opportunities. For example, Frontier will begin flying from New Orleans to Baltimore, which was influenced by Spirit pulling out last month. And it appears that Spirit will cease flying from New Orleans to Detroit in March, which… you’ve guessed it.

A Look At American’s New Shortest Route
On February 14, American Eagle will take off on the very short service from Miami to Bimini. It’ll be its seventh destination in the Bahamas. In the past 20 years, multiple airlines have operated, including Bahamasair, Continental Connection, and Silver Airways. The market has been unserved since 2018.
Now it is American’s turn, using Eagle equipment. The new route will, of course, benefit from the enormous network behind Miami. Will it turn out to be a good addition, or will it be one of its worst-performing international routes, at least in terms of load factor? It will be good to examine its performance in the coming months.
