The United States and Israel are obliterating Iran’s military and targeting its leaders as the war expands. Iran is continuing its strategy of firing missiles and cheap explosive drones across the Middle East with new strikes on an oil facility in the United Arab Emirates, an explosion and fire near the U.S. consulate in Dubai and launching more missiles at Tel Aviv. Meanwhile, the son of the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has reportedly emerged as the leading candidate to become the next Supreme Leader. NBC’s Richard Engel reports for TODAY.
