The 145-pound division comes into focus one week after former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway fought Charles Oliveira for the BMF title. Over the next two weeks, featherweight fighters headline UFC Fight Nights around the globe.
Josh Emmett and Kevin Vallejos headline the promotion’s return to the Meta APEX on Saturday. Vallejos, one of the best new contenders in the division, is coming off a spinning backfist knockout over Giga Chikadze. He meets a fellow KO artist in Emmett, who hopes to stop the bleeding after consecutive losses.

Next month, UFC returns to Miami for arguably its strongest numbered event this year. A vacant light heavyweight title fight between former champion Jiri Prochazka and rising contender Carlos Ulberg headlines the card. In the co-main event, UFC flyweight champion Joshua Van defends his newly won title against Tatsuro Taira. The April 11 card also features a long-overdue fight between Bellator alums Patricio Pitbull and Aaron Pico.
