Tori Spelling and seven children taken to hospital after car accident

Tori Spelling and several children were taken to the hospital following a car crash last week, the actor’s spokesperson confirmed to NBC News.

The spokesperson also confirmed that the “Beverly Hills, 90210” star, 52, was driving with seven kids in the car — four of her children and three of their friends — when another driver allegedly ran a red light while speeding and struck their vehicle.

Deputies responding to the scene in Temecula, California, on Thursday found two vehicles with collision damage, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office told NBC News. All occupants were evaluated at the scene, and no arrests were made. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.

Spelling and the seven children were transported to the hospital via ambulances and treated for injuries including cuts, bruises, contusions and concussions, according to TMZ, which first reported the incident.

Video obtained by the outlet appeared to show the actor speaking animatedly with first responders at the scene of the accident. Photos published by TMZ appeared to show Spelling’s car to be significantly less damaged than the other vehicle involved.

Spelling shares five children with her ex-husband Dean McDermott, whom are now aged 9 to 19.

It’s not the first time that Spelling has found herself in a car accident with her children.

In 2011, when she had two young children and was pregnant with her third, she shared in a tweet that she “had a pretty big accident” while trying to get evade a paparazzo who was following her and her kids to school.

Spelling wrote that she took down a “whole wall” of the school, and that she would head to the doctor to check on her then-unborn child.

“He then STILL got out to try to get pics,” she tweeted. “10 school moms chased him away. What will it take? Someone dying for paparazzi to stop?”
