Thyssenkrupp Forecasts Loss With High Cash Burn, Costs Ahead


Thyssenkrupp is contending with subdued demand from Europe’s carmakers — with production still below pre-pandemic levels — as well as elevated energy costs following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Once a sprawling industrial conglomerate spanning steel, elevators and engineering services, the company is pushing ahead with a transformation aimed at narrowing its focus.
