The Logitech G515 Lightspeed TKL first launched back in mid-2024 as a more affordable alternative to the Swiss brand’s all-conquering G915 TKL. It retained enough of the fundamentals – solid chassis, snappy low-profile switches, reliable wireless connectivity and so on – to make it feel like a strong value proposition at the time, although with current sales, has been made an even better one. I’m currently seeing it for its best prices in a while on both sides of the Atlantic – that’s £95 on Amazon UK and $70 on the Amazon USA – the latter is part of the final couple of days of the Amazon Spring Sale.

I liked the G515 Lightspeed TKL when I tested it on its release back in July 2024, with a lot of it down to Logitech’s new generation of low-profile GL switches inside. These benefit from a slightly higher actuation point for snappier inputs alongside factory lubrication for a smoother feel that made this keyboard a strong choice for general productivity and gaming. Of course, a Hall effect or similar product is going to be brisker for fast-paced games, but this is still a solid choice. You also get wireless connectivity on up to threee devices with Bluetooth and the Lightspeed 2.4GHz wireless receiver providing reliable and convenient means – it also happens to be one of our favourite Steam Deck accessories and one of James’ favourite keyboards, too.

The TKL (or tenkeyless) layout present provides more desk space at the expense of a number pad, but you still get everything else, including arrow keys, a nav cluster and function row. Depending on which region you’re looking at, this G515 Lightspeed TKL will either come in black (UK) or a fun Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayaka special edition in white with intricate patterns across the keycaps – neat.

Keycaps on either variant are the more durable PBT, which is a pleasant touch, and they allow the RGB lighting to shine through decently. You also get the benefit of Logitech’s upgraded G Hub software with this keyboard to allow for more intricate configuration for things such as remapping keys, controlling RGB lighting and more.
