This new update is so ridiculous.

One of the things I enjoy so much about running this blog and the other information based blogs I run, is going through my notes activity and reading and sharing all the interesting commentary and additional information and context.

Sharing this commentary really improves the quality of my blog, as I don’t know everything about every subject, and while I am a marginalized person in several ways (Trans Woman, Disabled, etc), I’m not in other ways (PoC, Indigenous, Religious, etc); not having access to a lot of these voices to share, just because they didn’t share a comment directly on my original post, means this blog will lose a lot of its charm.

Like this update will force this blog to become more and more of a news aggregator, with diminishing commentary and learning. Your voices are very important to me and it really makes me feel sad how this will affect my blogging long term.
