Kyle Wootton scored two late goals as Stockport kept their slim Sky Bet League One automatic promotion hopes alive with a dramatic 4-2 comeback victory over Wigan at Edgeley Park.
The visitors took the lead after just two minutes when Joe Taylor seized on a loose ball and raced through to slot past Ben Hinchliffe.
County responded three minutes later as Brad Hills headed in Ollie Norwood’s free-kick from six yards out.
Wigan regained the lead in the 11th minute, Taylor heading home Fraser Murray’s cross for his second.
But the Hatters drew level before the interval when Adama Sidibeh converted from Jack Diamond’s cross.
After the break, County pressed for a winner, with Wootton and Sidibeh both denied at close range by Sam Tickle.
Wigan’s task was made harder when Steven Sessegnon was sent off for a second booking with 30 minutes remaining.
And they were made to pay in stoppage time as Wootton headed home to complete the comeback before adding a fourth in the dying minutes as Wigan finished with nine men following Maleace Asamoah’s late dismissal.
