Hot moms officially took over the Marc Jacobs show last night and they showed up in head to toe Marc looks. From statement silhouettes, stand out prints, to unique styling cues, this was a reminder that the brand’s biggest fans know exactly how to wear it. To kick off NYFW like this was inspirational, I now feel motivated to start this season by women who truly get it, rockstar moms who dress for themselves, have fun with fashion, and show up with confidence. The Marc Jacobs collection leaned into that energy, celebrating womanhood through coveted pieces that felt both familiar and exciting, with nods to his past collections woven throughout. It was a confident, joyful start to the week. Fashion should be fun, and this felt like a reminder of that

#1: Matching Set

June Ambrose in a leopard-print set was an immediate standout. She turned heads as soon as she arrived, grounding the bold look with her signature, an oversized hat! The icing on the cake was when she realized she was twinning with another rockstar mom in attendance Monica, (yes, I fan girl’d when I saw her) the moment felt intentional but it was definitely not. My favorite part is that it all felt so easy, proof that statement dressing can still feel effortless when anchored by a strong, cohesive set.

#2: Scarlet Red

Jessica Wang’s scarlet red dress struck the rare balance between camp and sex, a combination that’s not easy to pull off. While the dramatic silhouette did much of the work, it was the color that truly carried the look. A bold red always commands attention, and this one felt confident, intentional, and impossible to ignore. The kind of look that immediately sends you back to your closet searching for something equally striking, I know it made me immediately think about how I can incorporate red in my looks for shows this week.

#3: Statement Black Dress

Sai De Silva’s black statement dress was understated yet undeniably bold. As a New Yorker, black is non-negotiable, it’s a language I speak fluent in, it’s timeless, reliable, and never wrong. This look was a reminder that all black doesn’t have to feel simple or predictable; whether it’s volume, embellishment, conceptual shapes, or subtle fur accents, it’s those details that make or break the look.

#4: Faux Fur

Dani Stahl’s animal-print faux fur coat was the kind of piece that stops you mid-conversation. Oversized fur is always a yes for me, but the unexpected color in this print is what made it feel elevated and current. Confession, I am a sucker for a statement coat. When time is tight and you need to get out the house a statement coat like this is the outfit, whatever’s underneath becomes irrelevant, and the look still reads intentional, and fully considered.

#5: Florals

Priya Shukla’s floral cropped top and skirt felt like a modern-day Audrey Hepburn moment, classic, polished, and with a hint of edge to it. The floral accent was a smart way to wear print without letting it take over the look. Finished with leather gloves, strong glam, and umm hello … that hair (yes), the styling pushed something pretty into sharp, modern territory proof that the right accessories can completely transform a silhouette. We should all take notes from her!
