S&P/TSX composite soars more than 800 points, U.S. stock markets also rally




TORONTO — Canada’s main stock index surged more than 800 points on Tuesday, helped by gains in the basic materials sector, while U.S. markets also saw large gains.
The S&P/TSX composite index was up 833.10 points at 32,768.04.
