S&P/TSX composite rises nearly 500 points, U.S. stock markets also higher




TORONTO — Canada’s main stock index rose nearly 500 points on Wednesday, helped by gains in the technology sector, while U.S. markets also finished higher.
The S&P/TSX composite index was up 493.18 points at 33,389.73.
