Selena Gomez Puts a Draped Spin on the LBD in Jacquemus

Selena Gomez brought a sharply draped take on the little black dress to Los Angeles in Jacquemus.

The actress attended “The Testament of Ann Lee” special screening and reception on Friday in the brand’s Pesce draped one-shoulder minidress, styled by Erin Walsh. The black viscose-blend crêpe dress ran close to the body and then broke at the chest, where a single fold crossed over to form the off-shoulder neckline. One shoulder stayed bare aside from a fine strap, while the opposite side carried the full wrap. The hem sat well above the knee, keeping the proportions short and direct.

The Pesce dress came from Jacquemus’ fall 2025 collection and was produced for the season’s retail lineup. The front stayed free of embellishment, with the fold across the bodice acting as the only visible structure. The fabric kept a steady weight through the body, so the fold and diagonal neckline remained the main design details. She offset the short length of the skirt with opaque black nylons.

Jacquemus’ Cubisto slingback pumps introduced the same strict lines at ground level. The black pumps came to a sharp point at the toe and included a small bow at the vamp, a slim slingback strap and a narrow heel.

As for accessories, Gomez kept it simple, optingn for hoop earrings and several rings. She styled her hair in a high ponytail with a smooth finish, and her kept her makeup in neutral tones with a glossy lip.

The appearance followed a series of focused looks for Gomez this season. At the beginning of the month, she attended a Los Angeles Lakers game alongside her husband Benny Blanco in an all-black outfit with a midi skirt, a coordinated sleeveless top and matching boots — plus a small Versace quilted clutch. In October, she opted for a burgundy Ronny Kobo Michelle jumpsuit with coordinating pointed-toe heels for “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” keeping that look to one color as well.

“The Testament of Ann Lee” is a musical period drama from director Mona Fastvold with Amanda Seyfried in the title role. The film traces the life of 18th-century Shaker leader Ann Lee. The film opens in select 70mm theaters on Dec. 25.
