The galaxy projector is essentially an LED lamp projector that throws light onto your walls and ceilings through two lenses: the first lens projects a swirl of rainbow colored lighting effects that replicate nebulas and auroras. The second lens adds on a starfield layer. There are a total of 58 different lighting patterns so you never get tired of the same thing. The effect is subtle in the day time, but especially intense at night. Since the light is diffuse, it won’t be distractingly bright like a singular point source. The projector also doubles as a Bluetooth speaker so you can stream your own music or choose from 15 soothing white noise sounds like “Ocean Waves,” “Rain,” and “Crickets”. Kids absolutely love this, but many adults (including myself) find it soothing as well.

Speaking of galaxies, why not check out The Super Mario Galaxy Movie this weekend? Sure, we didn’t give it a glowing review, but I’m sure Nintendo superfans will thoroughly enjoy hunting down all of the Easter eggs stuffed throughout the movie. If you have kids, well, their rating criteria is very different from the adults.
